Description
Weaning PackageWe suggest this is done between five & seven months of age depending on the health of the mare. If the mare looks like the foal isn't sucking the life out of her leave them to approximately 7 months.
Ask about our Flat fee to teach your horse the following:
To be caught, led, tied up, washed & introduced to wearing a cover. It’ll be patiently introduced to a farrier to have it’s feet done and will also be prepared for Branding / Microchip Implant / Vaccination as necessary. It will spend time paddocked & boxed but will also socialise with other horses.
From the education gained at Weaning time, the next step for your foal is either Racehorse Early Handling Before Breaking In or Racehorse Yearling Sales Prep.
At any time that your horse is at Abderry or if you would like some personal tuition we would be delighted to introduce you to Racehorse Handling Course For Owners
While at Abderry your horse will be fed a designated weanling diet twice daily
