Weaning Package (Approx 2 weeks)

We suggest this is done between five & seven months of age depending on the health of the mare. If the mare looks like the foal isn't sucking the life out of her leave them to approximately 7 months.

We charge a Flat fee to teach your horse the following:

To be caught, led, tied up, washed & introduced to wearing a cover. It’ll be patiently introduced to a farrier to have it’s feet done and will also be prepared for Branding / Microchip Implant / Vaccination as necessary. It will spend time paddocked & boxed alone but will also socialise with other horses.

From the education gained at Weaning time, the next step for your foal is either Racehorse Early Handling Before Breaking In or Racehorse Yearling Sales Prep.
